South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace shared that she watches images and videos of migrants being arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement to relax, spending her free time perusing such footage on YouTube.
Mace appeared on the Fox Report Weekend on Sunday, where she shared this tidbit about her personal life with host Jon Scott.
"I have to tell you, one of my favorite things to watch on YouTube these days are the court hearings where illegals are in court and ICE shows up to drag them out of court and deport them," Mace said.
"I can think of nothing more American today than keeping our streets safer by getting those violent criminals out of the United States of America, and we all have Donald J. Trump to thank for it," she added.
This statement from the South Carolina Representative comes in the midst of the Trump administration enacting a new deportation agenda, cracking down on sanctuary cities and increasing migrant detentions nationwide.
During Mace's interview, a graphic was displayed on screen demonstrating that ICE has issued 6,025 detainer requests in New York City during the first seven months of Trump's second term. This stands in stark contrast to the 9,472 requests issued in the city over the course of President Joe Biden's entire term.
Scott pointed to these statistics to affirm the presence of a "new sheriff in town."
Mace, who agreed with Scott, then added that she is proposing legislation which aims to "defund and take tax breaks" away from sanctuary cities across the nation.
"Even in South Carolina, Democrats and Republicans alike, they don't want the sanctuary policies. And that's why Democrats are going to continue to fail at the ballot box because they're putting illegals over real, true American citizens," she said.
