After 66 games, the field of 68 teams in the 2013 NCAA Tournament was narrowed down between the No. 1 overall seed Louisville Cardinals and the fourth-seeded Michigan Wolverines for the national championship.
No. 1 seeded Louisville used there tenacious defensive skills to overpower Michigan's multi-faceted offenses.
After two bench players from each team made impressive runs in the first half. Spike Albrecht of Michigan and Luke Hancock of Louisville made all four of their 3-point attempts in the first half; as the Wolverines took a 38-37 lead after a rapid first half in the national championship game.
Following an incredibly physical and passionate game, Louisville comes away with the National Championship, beating Michigan 82-76.
Lousiville Captain Petyon Siva had a career high with 17 points.
