Nigeria meets Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday in what many consider a must-win situation for both sides as a loss can send either side home with deep regrets. The match is being played in Arenda Pantanal in in Cuiabá, Brazil. Both teams understand the magnitude of the points in this match and also know their next opponent so the Group F match should be an entertaining match to watch as we pass the halfway point of the first round of play at the 2014 World Cup.

Nigeria, to be critical, has been playing below what it is capable of playing in comparison to what it has accomlished in past years and what its talent level is made up of as a squad today. This is a side that has much talent but they lack the flow and creativity that many Nigerian soccer fans are and have been expecting.

Bosnia on the other hand will come out with its guns loaded looking for some redemption after taking it on the chin against mighty Argentina. Giving up a very unlucky own goal in the 3’ minute of play hurt the Dragons as the Argentinian’s took advantage of a corner kick as the ball sailed into the box hitting Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinic in the heel with the ball popping into the net. Messi then scored a magical goal in the 65th minute to give the Argetinians a 2-0 lead before Bosnian Vedad Ibisevic scored in the 84th minute to attempt to salvage the game for the Bosnian’s but it was too little too late.

I expect a Bosnian side to take advantage of a Nigerian squad that will not match up in terms of pace and the fluidity of its game. I predict a 2-0 final score with Bosnia winning.

My prediction: Bosnia-Herzegovina wins 2-0
