The "Nuestra Belleza Latina" VIP finale is just around the corner! For those who were not aware, NBL kicked off 2016 with "Nuestra Belleza Latina VIP" with 12 former finalists returning to the show for a second shot at the coveted title. During the semi-finals, where the girls were joined by J Balvin, Gente De Zona and Calibre 50, the judges and audience said goodbye to fifth finalist and Mexican contestant Ligia Uriarte, leaving Barbara Turbay, Clarissa Molina, Catherine Castro and Setareh Khatibi in the final four.
The special edition, which is in celebration of the show's 10th season, included new challenges and a new concept. Almost 100 finalists from previous seasons auditioned and only 12 had another chance to walk down the catwalk and battle it out for the crown. The new season was also charged with more excitement, as it was the first time that participants would have access to their social media platforms and stay in touch with fans throughout the competition.
The show is hosted by Chiquinquira Delgado and Javier Poza with 2015 NBL winner Francisca Lachapel as social media presenter. Former crowned winners, such as Alejandra Espinoza, Marisela Demontecristo and Nastassja Bolivar, also jumped on board the new season. Without further ado, here's a bit more of information on the four finalists.
CATHERINE CASTRO
This light-eyed Puerto Rican is 25 years old. Catherine first appeared on Nuestra Belleza Latina 2015, where she was in the top two. Francisca Lachapel won the crown that year. Despite her modeling career, Castro is an aspiring actress and describes herself as an "actress in formation." Her snapchat is CatherineCastr2.
SETAREH KHATIBI
At 29 years old, Setareh is the oldest in the competition. This charismatic and full-of-life Mexican from California said she was one of Osmel's favorite contestants when she first participated in "Nuestra Belleza Latina" in 2012. In that season, the contestant was first finalist. Setareh is a YouTube sensation in her channel "The Fruit Gypsy" and became a viral sensation after presenting "El Pollito Pio" in season 10.
CLARISSA MOLINA
Clarissa Molina was in "Nuestra Belleza Latina" 2015, where she made it to the Top 4 and finished as 3rd runner-up. This gorgeous Dominican from New York is 25 years old with many crowns in hand. Molina was Miss Dominican Republic Tourism International 2012, Miss Latina New Jersey USA 2013 and Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2015.
BARBARA TURBAY
Barbara Turbay is a 24-year-old model from Colombia. She first participated in "Nuestra Belleza Latina's" seventh season, where she was fourth finalist. According to Nuestra Belleza Latina official website, Turbay confides that with maturity and preparation she will win the crown in season 10.
