Prince Charles is reportedly horrified over Prince Andrew’s unprecedented interview. And as such, he could make a bold move once he’s crowned as King.

While speaking with The Telegraph, a senior royal source said that it is possible for the heir to the throne to remove his younger brother’s status as a working royal once he takes over the crown. And after last week’s interview, this may really happen.

In the past, Prince Charles has expressed his desire to streamline the British monarchy. And throughout the past couple of years, he has gotten into disagreements with the Duke of York regarding his role and the role of his two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

“The Newsnight interview won’t have done anything to help Andrew’s argument that he and his family should have a more high-profile role,” the source said.

Seven years ago, the royal siblings reportedly clashed after Prince Charles insisted on having only the closest members of the royal family appearing on the balcony of the Buckingham Palace to make Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The decision reportedly left Prince Andrew livid.

But since then, Prince Charles and Prince Andrew have already been photographed attending royal engagements together. However, it has also been revealed that they are not really on good terms.

And since last week’s controversial interview about Prince Andrew’s sex scandal aired while Prince Charles was in New Zealand, the latter was only informed about it shortly before it was released.

Another source told the publication that Prince Charles wasn’t pleased with what his younger brother did. In fact, the future King thought that it was incredulous and alarming for Prince Andrew to have agreed to such a misguided interview.

Meanwhile, royal commentator Peter Hunt is urging Prince Andrew to quit his royal duties before Prince Charles could even remove his status. After all, the backlash of his interview could eventually fall on Prince Charles and the Queen’s shoulders.
