Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth's daughter, and her late husband, Prince Philip, were apparently of the same mind about Meghan Markle. Several royal insiders claim that Prince Harry shouldn't marry the former Suits actress if it were up to his father and daughter.
According to several reports, the late Duke of Edinburgh did not approve of Prince Harry's marriage to Meghan Markle. He is said to have advised his grandchildren against marrying actresses.
In a YouTube video, royal commentator Lady Colin Campbell underscored that Princess Anne also disliked Markle. Like Prince Philip, Campbell mentioned that the Princess Royal advised her nephew against marrying Markle.
"Princess Anne objected to the fact that Meghan was a flagrant operator," Campbell said, Showbiz CheatSheet reported.
According to reports, the Queen's daughter thought Markle was "flagrantly attention-seeking" which "absolutely turned Princess Anne off."
"She made her feelings very clear and she did not think Harry should marry Meghan Markle," Princess Diana's former biographer added.
"She thought everybody who was going along with it was making a grave mistake… Princess Anne was the champion in terms of 'don't marry that girl, she is unsuitable, she is wrong for us, she is wrong for the country, she is wrong for the job'. Well, it's turned out to be true."
Meanwhile, TV psychic Deborah Davies discussed Princess Anne's alleged emotions for Meghan Markle.
The Princess Royal, in Davies' perspective, shares the same feelings toward Prince Harry's marriage as her father, Prince Philip.
"Princess Anne is fabulous, she just gives everything that she thinks away on her face," Davies told Daily Star (via Mirror). "She doesn't need to say anything, you can see it in her eyes. You take one look at her and you can see what she's thinking, she's totally transparent."
She went on to say: "Princess Anne is just like her dad was, Prince Philip could see straight through Meghan Markle. He could see her for what she is and so could I, on their wedding day I just sat there shaking my head."
According to Davies, she thought the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was a "total and utter disaster waiting to happen."
She also criticized the former actress for disparaging the royal family in an interview with Oprah Winfrey and then joining the royal family for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee earlier this month.
"She has balls of steel, she can sit on that sofa with Oprah and say everything she's said about the Royal Family then arrive in this country to take part in the Jubilee celebrations, that's some brass neck that is," she mentioned.
