Rapper Young Thug's nephew allegedly murdered his girlfriend in East Point on Tuesday.

Police identified the 21-year-old suspect as Fardereen Deonta Grier, accused of killing his 24-year-old girlfriend, Destiny Fitzpatrick. East Point police were called to Foxhunt Lane off Washington Road at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

As the police arrived at the scene, they found Fitzpatrick dead from a gunshot wound. She was found lying in a pool of blood by the front door. Broken glass was scattered on the front porch and items inside the apartment were broken and thrown across the living room.

Fitzpatrick's boyfriend, Grier, who was still on the scene, was taken into custody. According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, officers found Grier "crying and very emotional" at a unit in The Park at Galaway Apartments in the 4000 block of Foxhunt Lane. He reportedly told officers at the scene that “two guys in ski masks attempted to rob" him and Fitzpatrick as they were leaving the apartment. He also told officers that one of the masked shooters shot Fitzpatrick.

According to a witness, he heard the couple arguing and saw a woman lying on the ground, he was still uncertain if she had been shot at that time. The witness then called the police for help. He told police he did not see anyone else leave the apartment. Grier later confessed to killing Fitzpatrick during a domestic dispute in the apartment.

Meanwhile, another shooting incident turned fatal in June at the same apartment complex. A 22-year-old man, Jerry Rice, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 3200 block of Candlewood Drive. A witness told officers that a vehicle drove by in the parking lot and fired several shots, hitting Rice.

Grier is confirmed to be Young Thug's nephew. The rapper, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, was arrested in May in a gang indictment in which 28 alleged members of the Young Slime Life gang were also indicted. He is accused of conspiracy to violate Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), as well as involvement in a criminal street gang.

Young Thug has been denied bond. According to the Prosecutors, the gang has committed crimes, including murders, shootings, and carjackings. If convicted of the RICO charge, the rapper will face a maximum 20-year prison sentence and a fine of $250,000.
