An NFL Network sportswriter came clean about the weirdest place he'd broken a story from in a podcast interview: while actively in bed with a woman.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter appeared on the This Is Football podcast hosted by Kevin Clark, during which Clark asked the sportswriter to reveal the "weirdest place" he'd broken a story from.

"I can remember being in Denver one time," Schefter said, pausing to laugh. "I was um... How do I say this? I had just spent time with this woman for the first time and got a text that [former Broncos cornerback] Dale Carter was being suspended for eight games for substance abuse."

"So, as I continued to lay there, confirm it, and got the job done Kevin — in every which way," he continued.

Schefter was recalling an incident that occurred in 2000, when he worked at the Denver Post. Denver broncos cornerback, Dale Carter, was suspended for the entirety of the season for allegedly violating the NFL Substance Abuse Policy. Carter stated that the reprimand came from the NFL despite the fact that he had not tested positive "for any drug use whatsoever".

"I'm just staring straight at the camera buddy, that's it," said Clark, laughing in response. "This is the greatest episode I've ever had."

Responding to the clip of the interview, Schefter confirmed that he broke the story after sleeping with the aforementioned woman.
