Retired Venezuelan soldiers are outraged by the food box they receive from the Social Protection Institute of the Armed Forces (Ipsfa) and the Nicolas Maduro regime. "Another humiliation that we cannot accept," said a retired officer from the Venezuelan military institution, reporting that the food basket only has four types of products. "Seven kilos of rice, two packages of bread flour, one kilo of sugar and two kilos of pasta," according to Infobae.

According to the publication, for the so-called CLAP box (Local Supply and Production Committees) the military pays 100,000 bolivars (50 cents), an amount that could be excessive considering the salary of a military officer, who regardless of rank does not exceed $20. "They play with the dignity of military personnel," he says.

The military man called on the Institute of Retired Officers of the Armed Forces (IORFAN), the Pichincha Group “and each of us must denounce and protest this outrage. It is preferable that they do not deliver any product, it is better for the military community," according to Infobae.

"Comrades all, what a shame. Today I went to IPSFAN to buy the vaunted box, today it was a bag, CLAP; it's embarrassing how they humiliate us,” said an Aviation colonel. According to the colonel, his bag only contained "six kilos of broken rice, one kilo of lentils, one kilo of unbranded sugar, two kilos of cornmeal for Mexican tortillas because for arepas it is not recommended and two kilos of spaghetti."

"In principle, I would like to know if any member of the generals' corps removes this bag. Do any of them have the need to do it? Will it meet your needs? Last week I had the opportunity to see a bag delivered by the National Electoral Council (CNE) and it contained two Kg of PAN corn flour, four kg of whole rice, two Kg of pasta, one liter of oil, two cans of tuna, one kg of Brazilian brand sugar and one kg of lentils," he said.

“I also had the opportunity to see a bag that was delivered to the market in La Vega, Caracas and it was the same as that of the CNE. What is the equality that Hugo Chávez proclaimed so much and that his acolyte subjects proclaim? Why is the FANB's active reserve being discriminated against and treated so badly by widows and people with rights? To what extent does the outrage and humiliation of the government and the active military against the active reserve come? Could it be that the actors will never go into retirement? Well, it seems that Padrino López will never do it and also he and his acolytes are being well paid by the regime and have investments in companies that leave them good dividends," he continued.

Due to general outrage, the IORFAN Board of Directors has denounced the irregularities in the delivery of the CLAP boxes and claiming for the low quality of the food.
