Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at training driving his Aston Martin after making another history with his hat-trick as the team beat Tottenham 3-2 in the Premier League Saturday.

The 37-year-old Portuguese star drove into training at Carrington in a convertible Aston Martin, reportedly worth £200,000 ($260,000) as he and his Man Utd teammates prepare for their game with Atletico Madrid Tuesday. Ronaldo is known to experience consistent success against Atletico while spending almost a decade at Real Madrid.

On Saturday, Ronaldo came back to the starting XI, having missed the Manchester derby due to injury. Ronaldo was absent from the Man Utd squad's fight against Manchester City as interim manager Ralf Rangnick did not name a striker in his starting line-up at the Etihad. Though different rumors emerged contradicting his injury reason, CR7 put all doubts aside as he scored three times against Tottenham. His hat-trick goal came with nine minutes left, which made him the FIFA all-time top goalscorer with a total of 807 career goals.

Rangnick commented on Ronaldo's performance, "He made the difference today for sure. But not only the three goals he scored, also his work rate against the ball when Tottenham was in possession was so far the best performance. Let's just hope that he stays fully fit for the rest of the season and we see further games like this one from the whole team and also from Cristiano."

The German boss admitted that he was unsure about Ronaldo's fitness, still he chose him to play. "I expected him to score. That's why I decided to play him, although he only resumed training on Thursday," he claimed after Saturday's win. "His training session on Thursday was so good that's why I decided to play him from the start and not have him on the bench. In the end, it was the right decision."

Meanwhile, French footballer Paul Pogba said, "We know Cristiano Ronaldo and what he can do. He did what he does best. He's a record-breaker, that is his motivation. He wants to be number one and be the best and he shows it in the game and training always."

Since returning to Man Utd during the summer transfer window, several critics have referred to the No 7 as a negative influence due to the rumors that Ronaldo forced the team to alter their style.
