After MAC cosmetics announced that it will launch a Selena Quintanilla-inspired limited edition line in 2016 ---in response to a Change.org created by fans---- we are convinced that there's no stronger force and commitment than that of loyal Selena fans. A new petition is making the rounds, but this time, with the hopes to get to the hands of the renowned Madame Tussauds museum.
A fan is petitioning to create a wax figure of the late Queen of Tejano at the museum's Hollywood location. In hopes to achieve his of her goal, the fan noted all of the "Dreaming of You" singer's great accomplishments before her tragic passing twenty years ago on March 31st, 1995.
The petition mentions everything from her chart-topping hits to becoming the first Tejano artist to win a Grammy award and from the successful sold-out "Fiesta de la Flor" festival to MAC cosmetics honoring the songstress with her own makeup line.
"As beautiful and realistic as Madame Tussauds Hollywood wax figures are, we want Madame Tussauds Hollywood to create the first Wax Figure in Selena's memory!," read the closing remarks. "Selena is making history to date, and it would be an honor for Selena to receive a wax figure at the beautiful Madame Tussauds Hollywood."
