After a long wait, the third season of “Sex Education” is expected to unfurl soon. Though it normally debuts in January, most know how the COVID-19 pandemic altered the normal course of show debuts.

The good news is that filming was able to resume last September although it was not easy. The fact that the main characters needed to be close to one another in scenes made it even difficult. The last thing that the show needs are negative publicity for potentially breaching COVID-19 protocols.

Regardless, there is a lot to expect on “Sex Education” season 3. And it appears some of them have been spilled thanks to the eagle-eyes of fans.

Among them include the rumored pregnancy of Dr. Jean Milburn (Gillian Anderson). Pictures showing the actress who takes on the role of a sex therapist and a single mom was spotted sporting a baby bump alongside co-actor Mikael Persbrandt who plays Jakob Nyman.

Folks who were able to catch the end of season 2 of “Sex Education” will recall that Jean was discovered to be pregnant following her relationship with Jakob. The only problem here is that it was something not likely to happen since Jakob had a vasectomy. A better answer to this is expected in season 3 with Jean likely keeping the baby moving forward.

Aside from Gillian’s spotted baby bump, the focus is also on Otis (Asa Butterfield) and Maeve (Emma Wackey). In the finale, Otis admitted his feeling to Maeve via voicemail. Unfortunately, the latter never got to hear it after since she was at a quiz competition. Also, Isaac (George Robinson) deleted it since he also has feelings for Maeve.

Other plots require answers, including the one about Otis and Maeve continuing to offer sexual advice to teens and the relationships involving Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam (Connor Swindells) as well as that of Lily (Tanya Reynolds) and Ola (Patricia Allison).

Finally, there will be new cast members for “Sex Education” season 3. They are Jemima Karke, Jason Isaacs and Dua Saleh.

Karke will come in a new headteacher, Isaacs will take on the role of Peter Groff while Saleh will take on the role of a student named Cal.

“Sex Education” season 3 is speculated to be out by the second quarter of 2021.
