Two girls are the latest victims of another sexual assault case in India. The victims are sisters who were allegedly conned into going with two of the four suspects. The two men who were part of the gang rape charge were identified only as Atal and Pankaj.

The incident reports, the two sisters aged 19 and 20 were at their apartment when two men they knew took them to a house in Luniawas. When they arrived, there were two other men at the residence and all four trashed and gang-raped the sisters. After having their way, the men threatened the two girls should they disclose the incident to anyone, The Times of India reported.

“The girls alleged that the two youths identified as Pankaj and Atal came to their house on June 1 and asked them to come along. Since they were known to the sisters both agreed and went,” the report read.

The two victims would divulge what had happened to their family who eventually reported the incident to authorities. Both underwent a medical examination and a case has been registered with the police. Authorities are now hunting down the four individuals behind the assault and gang rape.

“Both were threatened to keep mum. They narrated their plight to their families and finally lodged an FIR late on Wednesday evening. Their medical examination was done and efforts are on to arrest the accused,” an officer stated.

In related news, a woman was assaulted by three men in the Nagaur district of Rajasthan. The incident happened on May 24. The woman, married, went out to relieve herself when the men took her to an isolated place and sexually assaulted her.

A case has also been registered on the matter under sections 376D (gang rape) and 365 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
