President Donald Trump slammed right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson over his criticism of the attacks launched against Iran, saying he has "lost his way."

Speaking to ABC News journalist Jonathan Karl, Trump was asked about Carlson calling the attacks "absolutely disgusting and evil."

"I knew that a long time ago, and he's not MAGA. MAGA is saving our country. MAGA is making our country great again. MAGA is America first, and Tucker is none of those things. And Tucker is really not smart enough to understand that," Trump said.

Trump had already made reference to criticism from certain figures from the MAGA world, including Carlson and Megyn Kelly.

Speaking to The Inner Circle's Rachael Bade on Tuesday, Trump said "I think that MAGA is Trump, MAGA's not the other two."

"MAGA wants to see our country thrive and be safe. And MAGA loves what I'm doing, every aspect of it," Trump added, claiming that the war is a "detour that we have to take in order to keep our country safe and keep other countries safe."

He went on to take aim at Kelly specifically, saying she should "study her history book a little bit."

"Megyn was opposed to me for years when I ran the first time and nothing stopped me," Trump stated. "And so, you know, some people are against — and they always come back. She came all the way back. But now I guess she maybe doesn't like the idea of this war, but I do because I have to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of the Iranians," Trump said.

Kelly had also criticized the attack, and on Monday hosted former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has repeatedly slammed the Trump administration over different issues, including the Epstein files and, most recently, the war.

Greene questioned Trump's mental state, claiming that the fact he has said he doesn't think he's going to heaven may not lead him to make decisions with the common good in mind.

"What's on his mind? What's his mental state? If he doesn't think he's going to heaven, and he's toward the end of his life, how does that pan out for the rest of us when we have a president of the United States who is convinced he's not going to heaven? What does that mean his decision making is?" Greene said.

She also reacted to Trump's most recent criticism of Carlson, saying the president "doesn't even know what MAGA is anymore."

"Tucker would beat Trump if he ran for President and Trump tried to violate the constitution and tried to run again for a third term," she added.
