Brad Pitt is still being rumored to be drinking and taking drugs after he sobered up two years ago. Just recently, there have been claims suggesting that the actor’s friends are worried about his alleged relapse.

Here’s a look at some of the rumors surrounding Pitt’s alleged addiction. But it’s important to note that none of these claims have been proven to be accurate, according to Gossip Cop.

Back On Booze

Earlier this month, a tabloid claimed that Pitt has started drinking again. An unnamed source was quoted as saying that the “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Star” could be back on a slippery slope.

“Things are going so great in Brad’s personal and professional life and the worry is he might feel like he could bend the rules a bit,” the source said. “But that’s a slippery slope. One drink — and he could be back to a full-blown drinking problem,” the source added.

Heavy-Drinker Hangouts

Last year, another tabloid claimed that Pitt’s friends are worried that he might suffer a relapse after hanging out with Sean Penn. At that time, Pitt and Penn spent some time with each other. Penn was rumored to be a heavy drinker.

“Everyone knows Sean has a reputation for being a party animal, so it’s crazy to see Brad hanging out with him,” an unnamed source said. Less than a year later, the same tabloid said that Pitt started smoking pot again.

Back On Pot

“[Pitt’s] attempt at rehab has gone up in smoke and he’s getting high on pot again after vowing to clean up his act when his marriage collapsed,” the source said. However, Pitt previously said that he already gave up smoking. In fact, he also told GQ that it wasn’t difficult to quit the habit.

Friend’s Death

And shortly after Pitt sobered up, a tabloid claimed that the actor relapsed. Another unnamed source said that Chris Cornell’s sudden death must have impacted Pitt negatively, that’s why he returned to his old ways.

The tabloid also said that Cornell was Pitt’s sponsor at Alcoholics Anonymous. However, this claim was also proven to be fake.
