Prince William, recently, made heads turn at the 50th Anniversary Celebrations of Centrepoint. The Duke of Cambridge decided to flaunt some flair and turned up in an emerald velvety jacket for the landmark event.

William was spotted hobnobbing with celebs like Rita Ora who was visibly excited to meet the Prince. Ora reportedly stated that she absolutely “loved the suit”. A royal staff also commented that William looked “very urban”. The Prince rendered a speech at the celebratory event and expressed his gratitude as he went on to congratulate the volunteers at the charitable organization who did a terrific job

The Duke was accompanied by Princess Beatrice—who’s currently engaged to Eduardo Mapello Mozzi—looked ravishing in a black dress embellished with floral imprints at the event. She completed the look by pairing a plain black coat, pearl headband and slipped into navy velvety boots.

The charitable celebratory gig also saw celebrities like Claudia Winkleman and Singer Ellie Goulding make a beeline to the event. Centrepoint, which focusses on offering shelter to homeless youths aged between 16- 25, saw Princess Diana as a patron of the organization. "It is upsetting that in 2019 we still have not managed to end youth homelessness, and more young people are being supported by Centrepoint than ever before,” said William. "But it is reassuring to know that when young people are at their lowest point, Centrepoint's team are there to help,” he added.

William marked the 50th anniversary year of the organization by paying a visit to the charity's new Apprenticeship House in south London on Wednesday. He interacted with residents and opened the building. William spent a night on the streets with Centrepoint in the year 2009, to get a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by homeless people.

William is well aware of how close the organization and its responsibilities were, to his mother, Late Princess Diana. Hence, the future King is leaving no stone unturned in being an active part of the humanitarian causes offered by the organization. Princess Diana used to reportedly get the dukes along during her visit to the charitable venture in 1993.

“I was very struck by the people I met and what they were struggling with – sleeping rough, sofa surfing, not having basic comforts a lot of us take for granted,” Prince William said. “That really struck me at a young age, bearing in mind the gulf for me, growing up in a palace, and seeing the other end of the spectrum where others were faced with huge personal challenges and were overcoming them. That was powerful to see at a young age,” he added.
