Tonight is the premiere of season 18 of "Dancing with the Stars.” This season’s cast features a dynamic lineup including a game show host, a swimming legend, a teen pop star and two Olympic Gold Medalists. Even though the show has been up and running for 18 seasons, fans are still excited to see who will the Mirror Ball Trophy in the end.

There is an unexpected twist this season that will involve America and their power to vote and change the dance pairings. They are calling this twist “The Switch Up.” All couples will be affected and they will be required to switch partners at one point in the season. This has never happened before on this show.

Five couples will be dancing the Cha Cha Cha, four other couples will be dancing the foxtrot and that leaves three couples performing a Contemporary style of dance. The five couples that will be dancing the Cha Cha Cha are Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, NeNe Leakes and Tony Dovolani, Billy Dee Williams and Emma Slater, Amy Purdy, the show’s first ever double amputee, and five time mirrir ball trophy Derek Hough and last but not least Cody Simpson and Witney Carson.

The four couples dancing the foxtrot are Diana Nyad and Henry Byalikov, James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd, Drew Carey and Cheryl Burke and finally Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy. And the three couples that are left and are dancing Contemporary style of dance are Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas, Charlie White and Sharna Burgess and Sean Avery and Val Chmerkovskiy.
