As always Katy does it big and theatrical transforming herself into Cleopatra for the music video. Sporting a jet black wig adorned with an elaborate headdress, a colorful form-fitted cutout dress and an outlandish bejeweled grill the pop star definitely completes the look! Perry’s goto makeup artist Jake Bailey explains how the makeup also transforms the 29-year-old pop star into Cleopatra. ”The central element to this look is definitely the intricate liner," Bailey explained. "This eye makeup is based on the 'Egyptian Eye,' also known as the 'Eye of Horus,' which is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health."
“Prism” is the fourth studio album by singer-songwriter Katy Perry, released by Capitol Records October 2013. While the album was initially planned to be "darker" than her previous material by Perry, “Prism” actually became a prominently Swedish dance music-inspired record. The 29-year-old singer worked with several past collaborators, while enlisting new producers and guest vocals. Perry mentioned that “Prism” primarily revolves around the themes of living in the present, relationships, and self-empowerment.
