The Trump administration and Israeli officials continue to push back against claims that Saturday's strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites caused minimal damage, contrary to President Donald Trump's assertion that they were "obliterated."
On Wednesday, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News the administration is investigating this week's leak, despite claiming the classified information in the report was false.
"I am told by the FBI the leak already is being investigated, and it absolutely should be because this was a top-secret intelligence analysis that very few people in the United States government had access to see," Leavitt stated in a video circulating on X, adding both the FBI and Department of Justice were handling the investigation.
She continued by repeating a comment by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and an X post the press secretary shared Tuesday following the report's leak, reiterating that "everyone knows what happens when you drop 14, 30,000-pound bombs perfectly on their targets."

Leavitt's conflicting claims that the report was false, yet contained sensitive information that should not have been leaked left social media users puzzled.
"So, it's not true, but it's also top secret intelligence? Give us a break, @PressSec, you dumb, lying harpy," one X user wrote.

"Top secret intelligence that's fake news?" another joked.

"If it's not true then there's nothing to investigate," a third added.

"The people who preach about transparency is once again complaining about too much transparency," another pointed out.

Following Saturday's attack, Iranian officials also reiterated that the damage to Fordo, one of the country's main nuclear facilities buried deep in a group of mountains, was "only above ground and can be restored," according to The Times of Israel.
Regardless of the impact of the U.S. strike, the Israel-Iran ceasefire that President Trump allegedly helped broker remains intact.
