Angelique Boyer is currently starring in the hit Univision telenovela "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" opposite Sebastián Rulli and Luis Roberto Guzmán. Earlier this week she announced she had parted ways with her longtime boyfriend, José Alberto "El Güero" Castro after a three year relationship. The news came as a shock to the public and entertainment specialists as they were believed to be a solid couple. Their statement did not reference a cause for a breakup which has run rumors rampant with speculation. The Spanish-language network, Univision, is citing a Mexican magazine that says Boyer wanted to have kids and he didn't as the reason for the split. Castro has three girls from his previous marriage to the now First Lady of México, Angélica Rivera.

A Televisa reporter caught up with the star to get more insight on the split and how she feels to continue working even though she is going through a difficult time internally. "It's complicated, but it's work," Boyer told the "Hoy" cameras. When the reporter tried to dig deeper she stood her ground and didn't reveal more details. "The point of sending out a statmenet is to not talk about it and not make a lot of noise," she said. "It really is s situation that we want to keep to ourselves." No reason was given as to why they decided to part ways but the blonde beauty only had positive words to describe her former boyfriend saying, "he is a great man and very important to me."

The 25-year-old actress and the 53-year-old producer released a joint statement following their split that they each posted on Twitter. "Through this medium we want to inform you that after a marvelous relationship full of love, it has become our decision to end it," said the letter. "In this moment in our lives we need to confront responsibilities that don't allow us to maintain, how it should be, our love. We ask for your understanding and respect so that no speculation arises. We will not make any other statement."
