Wild claims pointing out that James Hewitt, Princess Diana’s former lover, is the real father of Prince Harry have been around since the early years of the Duke of Sussex. Now hair experts are setting the record straight about the long-standing theory.

Claims that Hewitt could be the real father of Prince Harry started after some people noticed how Prince Harry’s ginger hair resembles Hewitt’s. Despite Prince Harry’s clear resemblance with Prince Charles, some still believe that Princess Diana and Hewitt actually had a love child, and it’s Prince Harry. In fact, when Meghan Markle gave birth to their Baby Archie, some royal fans congratulated Hewitt for being a new granddad.

The rumors claiming that Hewitt is Prince Harry’s real father had died down long ago, but when Meghan and Prince Harry’s baby was revealed to be a ginger head too, some couldn’t help but speculate that it’s another proof of Hewitt’s real relationship with Prince Harry. A revealing biography of Prince Harry that surfaced recently also reignited the Hewitt claims as the book detailed the young Prince Harry’s close relationship with Hewitt.

According to hair experts, the very locks that initially sparked the theory actually prove that Prince Harry and Hewitt are not father and son. After a careful study of Prince Harry’s fading crown, hair experts were able to tell that Prince Charles — not Hewitt — is his real father. The hair experts reportedly compared Prince Harry’s fading crown with Hewitt’s and found that they’re totally different.

Unlike Harry’s locks, which start to fade from the top, Hewitt’s locks start to fade from the front. Royal experts said that the speedy hair loss of Prince Harry could leave him bald within the next two years. On the other hand, Hewitt still has a full head of hair at 61. “Harry’s hair loss pattern and James Hewitt is a very different pattern of loss,” explained a hair expert.

Previously, the royal family tried to debunk the Hewitt claims by saying that Prince Harry actually got his locks from a relative of Princess Diana. They also released photos of a much younger Prince Charles to finally put the conspiracy theories to rest.
