
"The Wolf of Wall Street's" eagerly anticipated release date has finally been announced. The film, directed by Martin Scorcese, will be released on Christmas Day: December 25th 2013. This means that Leonadardo DiCaprio and the rest of the team will be up for Oscar nominations next year. Paramount Pictures also released a second trailer which features more of Jonah Hill. The film's original release was delayed because of reports the film was running too long as well as its NC-17 classification. The film is now scheduled to run at 2 hours and 45 minuts.
"The Wolf of Wall Street" is a film based on the memoir by Jordan Belfort also titled The Wolf of Wall Street. The screenplay was writtten by Terence Winter and also stars Mathew McConaughey, Jean Dujardin and Kyle Chandler. The film tells the story of a New York stockbroker who went to prison for 20 months after refusing to cooperate in large securities fraud case involving corruption on Wall Street and the involvement of the mafia. It will be the fifth collaboration between Scorcese and DiCaprio. You can watch the latest trailer for the film below.
As with the original "The Wolf of Wall Street" trailer, this second trailer features Kanye West's "Black Skinhead." Kanye first premiered the track, along with "New Slaves," on the season finale of "Saturday Night Live" back on May 18. This new trailer features more scenes with Jonah Hill who plays Donni Azoff, Leonardo DiCaprio's partner in crime. It also features a new scene with Leo's Dad in the movie.
"Black Skinhead" plays throughout the entire trailer, Kanye first premiered the track, along with "New Slaves," on the season finale of "Saturday Night Live" back on May 18.
