Marc Marquez finally faced his first defeat of the year and finished fourth at the Czech Republic GP. However, Marquez is quick to remind everyone that he is still untouchable this season. The young Repsol Honda rider earned his tenth pole position of the last 12 races of 2014.

While Marc's pole is no surprise, it was delightful to see Andrea Dovizioso muscle his Ducati to the second position on the grid. Finally, fellow countryman Jorge Lorenzo will start third for a 3-make front row. In fact, Lorenzo's top-3 finish was an enormous surprise as terrible tire conditions meant Lorenzo could do no better than eleventh during practice at Silverstone.

“We only have one problem, it seems Bridgestone has brought the same tyres that we had in the first races so we have the same problems as then,” sais Lorenzo.

“We have no grip to stop the bike, no grip in the middle of the corner and no traction so we have a lot of spinning and the negative point is it creates problem on the front. No grip on the rear doesn't give us the balance in the middle of the corner which means we have to lean less and have lower speed.”

Aleix Espargaro, Dani Pedrosa, and Valentino Rossi make the second row. Bradley Smith Pol Espargaro, Stefan Bradl, and Andrea Iannone make the top 10 qualifiers.
