“24: Live Another Day” will mark the return of Jack Bauer to TV, the series which is set 4 years after the events of the final season of “24” will follow a similar real time concept to it’s parent show. However there will be some changes to the format that fan’s of “24” have grown to love, while “24: Live Another Day” will still cover the events of a single day, with each episode corresponding to an hour, there will be jumps forward in time between certain episodes. The plot of the highly anticipated series will be a well-known action packed ride, 4 years after evading capture, Jack Bauer finds himself in London, once again on the run. According to Fox, Bauer will thwart a global disaster.
"He's angrier, He's working for himself now," Kiefer Sutherland told LA Times about his character. "His patience to deal with things in a legal fashion doesn't really exist.... Opening that up again made me quite nervous in the six months of prepping for the thing." While Bauer has his own impending disaster to rectify, closest confidante Chloe O'Brian has been aiding and abetting the federal fugitive.
That's right, along with Jack, Chloe is back for “24: Live Another Day” however things have changed for the former Interim CTU Director. She is now involved with the free information movement, working alongside Adrian Cross, who is now her boyfriend after Morris O'Brian divorced her and took custody of their child.
In addition to Jack and Chloe, more “24” veterans will be joining the cast of the series. Kim Raver and William Devane are set to reprise their roles as Audrey Raines and James Heller, respectively. As for some new casting, film actor Michael Wincott will portray Chloe’s boyfriend and “infamous hacker,” and Primetime Emmy Award winner Judy Davis had joined the cast in the role of Margot, a widow of a notorious terrorist.
“24: Live Another Day” premiere tonight, May 5 on Fox at 8 p.m. The premiere episode entitled “Day 9: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.” will run for two hours.
