English pop star Adele is expected to release a new album soon although there are things that fans should already expect. The 32-year-old is in the middle of divorce proceedings with Simon Konecki but is keeping things civil for the sake of their son, Angelo.

According to sources of OK! Magazine, Adele’s next album will not include songs about divorce or her ex-husband. The reason behind this is the pop star is worried that it may affect their eight-year-old son.

"Heartbreak has helped Adele shift records over the years but this split is quite different," the source said. "They’re both aware their son Angelo should be protected and that’s why Adele has agreed not to sing about their relationship."

Since breaking out in her singing career, Adele has had popular breakup anthems such as "Rolling in the Deep," "Someone Like You," "Hello" and "Send My Love (to Your New Lover)." But for her fourth album, she plans to offer something else.

"Her new album will have a different sound anyway, so it hasn’t bothered her too much that Simon quietly expected her to keep their relationship out of her music," the source added.

Adele and Simon started dating in 2011 and got married in 2016. Unfortunately, things did not turn out well and both have decided to part ways privately. A judgment packet was filed at a Los Angeles Court on Jan. 15. The packet requires a judge to sign it before it can be finalized.

Both have kept everything quiet for fear that it may affect Angelo. Adele and Konecki have been living in different houses across a similar street. It is an arrangement both agreed to so that they can continue to co-parent their 8-year-old son, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic still around, ABC News Radio reported.
