A lot of rumors have been sparking up since Carla Estrada announced she was leaving Televisa’s morning show “Hoy” to go back to telenovelas. The first rumor began when Malillany Marín, who left the show at the same time Estrada did, told TVnotas Andrea Legarreta would be perfect for the job, “She is a woman that has been working on the show for many years, she has control, she can say do this, do that with her eyes closed, she knows the times, and she likes it.”

Controversy surfaced when Alfredo Adame, who has been named as a possible replacement for Estrada, told the media he would not keep longtime host Legarreta in the cast if he ended up getting the job: “No, I wouldn’t count her in. I have no relationship with her, she is not my friend, she is not my colleague, she is nothing. We are absolutely nothing, and I wouldn’t count her in for anything,” he said during the presentation of his latest telenovela “A Que No Me Dejas.”

The 44-year-old actress finally opened up on the subject and reveals there are no hard feelings: “Truth is I care for him, I’m trying to remember if we ever had an argument, but I can only recall good times, hours we spent rehearsing, good vibes, and he was my car Godfather when we [her and husband Erik Rubín] got married, I remember all good things. I know sometimes there are differences, and they were brought up during a sketch once, but he didn’t mean wrong.”

Andrea kept a very professional attitude during her statement and continued by saying, “I care for him and respect his family, I don’t get involved in situations where there are no real motives. If he wants to run for producer, and he doesn’t want to count me in if he had the chance to produce, I respect that.”

We are going to have to wait and see if Adame has anything to add about the situation, but it feels like everything is very one-sided for the time being. Stay tuned!
