Thalia Returns To Telenovelas
The telenovela queen Thalia has made her return to telenovelas with "Antes Muerta Que Lichita." Televisa

After many years absent from the small screen, Thalia has made her triumphant return to telenovelas. Fans asked for the "No Me Enseñaste" singer to come back to television and their wishes have been granted, somewhat. "Antes Muerta Que Lichita" debuted its theme song last night during Episode 36 and it had a very familiar voice. No, it wasn't Maite Perroni's voice at all, it was Thalia singing "Si Alguna Vez." Originally it had been said the star of the comedic soap would sing in the opening credits, but listening to Thalia was a fun surprise. Watch the video down below and tell us what you think of the song!

Thalia is in icon in the telenovela genre having starred in a trio of soaps that are still in the memory of audiences. "María Mercedes," "Mari Mar" and "María La Del Barrio" are still engraved in our minds and every time they air on television, the ratings are there to support them. Some of these are available online and Netflix and have some of the biggest views. Thalia's last telenovela was "Rosalinda" back in 1999 where she starred alongside Fernando Carrillo. Ever since then, she has been missing from the small screen and fans have been asking for her return. This comeback is not what we expected, but we'll take it as the "Lichita" theme song is fun and contagious.

Maite Perroni has not always been the voice of her theme songs. She did not bring out her musical chops for her debut production as the star of "Cuidado Con El Angel," when she was still part of the pop band RBD. When she starred opposite Pedro Fernández on "Cachito De Cielo" it was her male counterpart that sang through the opening credits. Perroni is working on her next album which is slated to make its debut in 2016. Would you have wanted Maite to sing the theme song to "Antes Muerta Que Lichita?"
