Eiza González continues to make her way in Hollywood and this new role is a dream come true for the actress. The former telenovela star has been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter for the new Robert Zemeckis drama in which she would star opposite Steve Carell. The project is based on the doc "Marwencol" by Jeff Malmberg which follows a man who builds a miniature WWII-era village with action figures and dolls as a way to recover from a violent assault.

According to THR, González will play one of the women in the fantasy, "a singer named Caralala who works in the village's bar. Also confirmed to star in the feature are Leslie Mann and Janelle Monae.

After the news was made official, the "Amores Verdaderos" Televisa actress took to social media to share the excitement with all of her followers.

"'Back To The Future,' 'Forrest Gump' and 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' are all movies that completely influenced who I am as an actress/person," she wrote on Instagram. "So you may imagen [sic] how SURREAL it is for me to work with THE ONE AND ONLY ground breaking Bob Zemeckis along with this incredible cast. Telling the fascinating story of Mark Hogancamp."

Eiza has been making huge strides and she also has another big film to premiere soon. González is one of the stars of "Baby Driver." The Edgar Wright film is about a young and talented getaway driver named Baby (Ansel Elgort) that relies on the personal beat of his preferred soundtrack to be the best in the world of crime. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a mysterious criminal (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when an ill-fated heist threatens his life, love and chance of freedom.

"Baby Driver" also stars Jon Bernthal, Jon Hamm and Jamie Foxx. The movie is expected to be released on June 28 in the United States.
