Feid and Peso Pluma Take Center Stage: Leading Latin AMAs 2024 Nominees with 12 Nominations Each

MIAMI -- Urban genre Colombian star Feid and Mexican music sensation Peso Pluma
Feid led the nominations to the 2024 Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) with 12 each in categories like Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Collaboration of the Year.

They are followed by Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera with 11 nominations, Karol G and Shakira with nine nominations, and Eslabón Armando and Fuerza Regida with eight each, revealed TelevisaUnivision, which will broadcast the ceremony from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 25 at 7 p.m./6 p.m.

This edition of the annual awards will be broadcast live for the second time on Univision. Under the theme "We Speak Music," the ceremony's host will be Puerto Rican star Carlos Ponce. The show will also air on UNIMÁS and Galavision, and will also be available for the first time on ViX

The 2024 Latin AMAs

The selection of the nominees is based on fan interactions via streaming, sales,
radio airplay, touring, and even social media interaction data provided by Billboard and Luminate during the eligibility video that goes from February 11, 2023, to February 24, 2024.

This year, 76 artists are nominated in 27 categories, covering all genres of Latin music, including pop, urban, tropical, and regional mexicano.

The Latin AMAs 2024 New Artist of the Year category is a vibrant showcase of diverse musical talent. Bad Gyal stands out with her unique fusion of reggaeton and dancehall, while Chino Pacas brings energetic urbano beats to the mix. Gabito Ballesteros captures attention with his soulful voice, contrasting with Majo Aguilar, who brings a fresh take on traditional Mexican music.

Peso Pluma, receiving multiple nominations, highlights their rapid rise in the Latin music scene. Venesti enchants with captivating melodies, and Xavi impresses with his innovative sound. Yng Lvcas and Young Miko add a modern, boundary-pushing flair to the lineup. Completing the list is Zhamira Zambrano, whose unique genre blend makes her a notable contender for the prestigious title at this year's Latin AMAs.
