Lisa Banes dies in a horrific auto accident in New York after a week-long battle in the hospital.

According to NBC New York, Banes was critically injured after being hit by a motorcycle in Manhattan's Upper West Side.

The actress was sent to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital after suffering a severe brain injury, which resulted in her tragic death.

She is most known for her parts in Ben Affleck's 'Gone Girl' and Tom Cruise's 'Cocktail,' as well as her numerous television performances in "Madam Secretary," "Nashville," "NCIS" and "Masters of Sex."

Lisa was only 65 years old when she died.

As word of the actresses' deaths reaches their loved ones and friends, Seth MacFarlane is one of the first to express his condolences.

Reports said the producer sent a quick note to the late actress on Twitter.

In the abovementioned post, he expresses his extreme regret at her demise, which he describes as "a tremendous loss...."

"We had the good fortune to work with her on The Orville this past year. Her stage presence, magnetism, skill and talent were matched only by her unwavering kindness and graciousness toward all of us."

Jill Sobule, another close friend of Lisa's, is "heartbroken."

"Lisa Banes was magnificent, hilarious, and big-hearted- always helped me through the hard times, She was so beloved by so many," the singer confessed while feeling "busted."

She also devoted a Twitter post with a few photos of the two of them together.

The Banes management described the actress as "a woman of great spirit, kindness, generosity, and dedicated to her work."

"Whether on stage or in front of a camera and even more so to her wife, family and friends," thr manager concluded per Wion News.

According to sources, the 'Cocktail' singer was reportedly on her way to meet her wife, Kathryn Kranhold, for a dinner party when the accident occurred.

On June 4, witnesses watched an electric scooter run a red signal and collide with the actress.

The driver who killed the public person has yet to be apprehended by the New York police department.

Born in Ohio and raised in Colorado, Banes attended Juilliard before embarking on a long and illustrious career in New York and Hollywood, The New York Post said. Banes appeared in scores of television episodes and films.

Banes married Kranhold, a former Wall Street Journal journalist, in a small ceremony at City Hall around four years ago.

In the 1988 film "Cocktail," she played Tom Cruise's older love interest. She played the mother of Rosamund Pike's missing woman in "Gone Girl."

"Oh, I'm right for this," Banes thought after reading the script for "Gone Girl," she stated in an interview with the Los Angeles Times at the 2014 Hollywood Film Awards.

Banes described her part in the film as a "natural fit" for her.

She made appearances on Broadway in plays such as "Present Laughter" and "High Society," among others.

In 1984, she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for "Isn't It Romantic." She received a nomination for best-featured actress in a play.

In 1981, she received a Theatre World Award for her performance in the off-Broadway production "Look Back in Anger," and in 1982, she received an Obie Award for her performance in "My Sister in This House."
