Earlier this year, rumors of an affair involving Prince William and his Norfolk neighbor, Rose Hanbury, rocked the royal household. This especially affected Prince William’s relationship with Kate Middleton, who allegedly found the issue “very hurtful” for her children.

If there is one person who was most affected by the cheating rumors, it’s Kate. According to a source, the Duchess of Cambridge particularly hated the idea that one day her children might read about the alleged affair of their father online and get hurt.

While the issue extremely affected Prince William and Kate’s relationship these past few months, it has reportedly changed them for the better, and it turned out to be a good thing for them in the end. Although Kate was deeply hurt by reports claiming that Prince William was cheating on her, she took comfort in the fact that Prince William has remained committed in their marriage and children.

The source revealed that if there’s a silver lining in their situation, it’s that the Rose Hanbury affair rumors only became an opportunity for Prince William and Kate to grow as husband and wife. “It forced her and William to sit back and examine their relationship, which they realized they should have been doing more often,” the source said.

Another source noted that the royal couple remains committed to pulling through it all, trying to get their marriage back on track. “It’s not unusual to have a few hiccups in a marriage, especially after eight years, and Kate and William are no different,” the second source revealed. “They’re still going strong. Regardless of their ups and downs, they love each other dearly and their kids are the most important thing in their lives,” the source added.

The cheating rumors involving Prince William and Hanbury started after a report came out claiming that Kate had a fallout with the alleged mistress, who is their family friend. Kate reportedly asked Prince William to distance himself from Hanbury and cut ties with her and her husband. However, sources claim that the said report was false and that there has been no evidence of the rumored affair.
