The two got together in 2011 and with their vast fortune, they lived a luxury lifestyle. They shared a glitzy and glamorous life together jetting across the globe, generally living the high life and taking holidays on luxury yachts, reported The Sun. They parted ways on July 4, and gave no reason for the separation.

The former couple bought their own private plane, a Learjet 60XR in 2010. It is said to have cost 15 million pounds ($1,77,08,715.00), and it’s thought to have a customized interior which includes a living room, a dining room and a bedroom with two beds. They rented out the jet when they weren’t using it in order to lower the maintenance costs. A judge might have to decide who gets to keep the plane or if it must be sold and the proceeds split between Shakira and Pique.

They weren’t married, so any properties they bought before they were together will remain in their respective hands. But it also depends whose name is on the property deeds. Shakira has a mansion in Miami worth 11 million pounds ($1,29,86,985) while her former beau has a three-storey property in the centre of Barcelona. It is said to be valued at 3.8 milion pounds ($44,86,413). Shakira reportedly bought a share in a private island, Bonds Cay, in the Bahamas in 2011. She is said to have pooled together with Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters to buy the retreat for 12 million pounds ($1,41,67,620).

Those properties are expected to remain in their respective hands, but problems arise over their other properties. According to Marca, the main issue is the capital or properties that they both have acquired during their relationship. They will have to come to an agreement on how to share them. They purchased a house in 2012. Located in Esplugues de Llobregat, which borders Barcelona, it is valued at 3.8 million pounds ($44,86,508). In 2015, they bought another house in Barcelona’s Pedralbes neighborhood near Barca’s ground Camp Nou. It cost them around 4.7 million pounds ($55,49,102). They also reportedly have a holiday home in Cyprus, which they bought it in 2019.
