MIAMI - The Billboard organization celebrated the first 25 years of the Billboard Latin Music Awards, known as the Latin Billboards, with a gala in Miami, attended by some of the most important artists in Latin music, starting with Bad Bunny, who received the Billboard Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century award.
El Conejo started the night with a record 27 nominations and the support of his peers in the face of criticism from more conservative sectors of the United States, following the announcement that he will be the headliner of the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.
Laura Pausini received the Icon Award, Elvis Crespo the Hall of Fame Award, and Peso Pluma, the Vanguard Award.
Colombian singer-songwriter Goyo, Mexican-American actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez, and Mexican host Javier Poza were chosen to host the gala, which took place at the James L. Knight Center in downtown Los Angeles.
