A new trailer for season three of “The Legend of Korra” in the Netherlands has given fans a preview of what to expect from Nickelodeon’s highly-anticipated show. While the shows creator Bryan Konietzko has released several still images from production via his Tumblr on the new season this Dutch channel has gotten the jump on Nickelodeon and the creator and shows the first real footage since the epic finale last November. While the trailer is very short, grainy and lacking sound there is a lot to take in!
The teaser trailer focuses on Avatar Korra, who appears to be facing a considerable amount of trouble in balancing her diplomatic duty. In the trailer we see Korra facing off against members of the White Lotus, as well as a group of people dressed in green, perhaps earth benders who have yet to be featured in the series. We also see a shirtless Tenzin doing some air bending, a brief view of Bumi and last but not least DRAGONS! Although it is hard to see the details it is clearly a huge, red, fanged dragon!
As wonderful as the trailer is to watch there is no mention of a release date for season three of “The Legend of Korra.” It is good seeing that the creators Konietzko and Mike DiMartino have enough footage to cut together an awesome preview. Although we knew it was just about done as DiMartino wrote in a recent blog post that the studio is “hard at work animating the last few episodes of Book 3.” Perhaps we won’t have to wait an entire 15 months for book three as we did with two, and if this trailer is any indication it looks like a release date will be mentioned soon.
