Luis Suarez just can’t stay out of trouble, can he?

In his latest incident, the 29-year-old Uruguayan striker let his high temper and frustration get the best of him on the field yet again. In Uruguay’s 3-1 loss to Chile, Suarez walked off the field in bitter disappointment while giving Chilean soccer fans the middle finger.

This is not the first time we’ve seen Suarez involved in controversy. At least on three occasions he has literally bitten a player on the field, the most notable occurrance of course coming during the 2014 FIFA World Cup when he took a chunck out of Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini. Suarez has also been involved in racial abuse and his hatred against Chile is well documented.

So what’s next for Suarez?

If this were another player, he may get off with a fine or a slap on the wrist penalty, but given his background, it looks like Suarez will get suspended by FIFA. The Uruguayan Press claimed that Suarez was counting the amount of Copa America championships that Chile has won. The only problem with that theory is Chile has won the last two Copa America’s.

Thankfully for FC Barcelona, Suarez’s outbursts and outlandish behavior almost always comes at the international level rather than with his club.

With that loss Uruguay dropped to 7-2-3, 23 points, still good enough for second place behind only Brazil. Chile, meanwhile, sits in fourth place with 20 points. Even though Suarez may very well be out for possibly two games, Uruguay is still in good shape considering the circumstances. Uruguay’s next 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier is against Neymar and Brazil on March 17.
