Precisely 75 days away from the election day, Meghan Markle is back at it again. The Duchess of Sussex is putting her influence to great use and urging young people to exercise their vote. In what seems like a “historic backyard chat,” feminist icon Gloria Steinem and Markle spoke about representation, how each vote matters, and how all women are “linked, not ranked.”

The MAKERS Women Instagram page dropped a preview of the teaser, which sees the two women sitting outdoors and having a candid conversation -- only to have Markle and Harry’s dogs Guy and Pula gave them company as the interview progresses. Markle, 39, has expressed her desire to vote in the forthcoming U.S. elections in a recent chat with “Marie Claire.”

“Meg, welcome home,” said the author and activist to Markle. “I'm so glad that you're home,” adds Steinem. To which, Markle responds, “Thank you. Me too, for some many reasons,” piquing the curiosity of fans who wonder if there’s a need to read between the lines.

Markle has always been one to voice her stance, irrespective of how challenging it gets. Urging women to do something similar, she pleaded to viewers to not take their power to vote for granted. “I know what it's like to have a voice, and also what it's like to feel voiceless,” she said. “I also know that so many men and women have put their lives on the line for us to be heard. And that opportunity, that fundamental right, is in our ability to exercise our right to vote and to make all of our voices heard,” the Duchess added.

“People forget how hard women like you and so many others before you fought for us to just be where we are right now,” said Meghan. The host nodded in agreement and cited how “if you don’t vote, you don’t exist.”

The ladies seemed to have made a point: If one doesn’t vote, one invariably signs up for untoward consequences for being complacent at a very crucial time.

“What worries me the most are young people, who I understand are the least likely to vote and I can understand the feeling that they don't think they have an impact,” said Steinem “Yet, it's more important for them to vote than anyone else because they're going to be alive long after I am, and they're going to be suffering the consequences,” she added.

The highly-anticipated chat is slated to premiere on Wednesday.
