Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized more than $13 million worth of heroin at a port of entry in California, according to a new report.

Border Report noted that it is the biggest stash ever discovered in a single car. Officials arrested the driver, a Mexican citizen who has a lawful permanent residency in the country.

The incident took place when the person tried to enter the country through the San Ysidro port of entry. However, a drug-sniffing dog pointed at the spare-tire area of the car, leading agents to remove it.

Agents then found 72 packages in other hidden compartments throughout the car. "This interception is a direct result of the relentless vigilance and expertise of our CBP officers and their K9 partners," said San Diego CBP Field Office Director Sidney Aki.
