Are Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry planning a secret wedding in Egypt? According to a recent tabloid report, the two celebrities loved their visit to the pyramids so much that they are planning to have their wedding there.

Perry has a special connection to Egypt. In an Instagram post, the singer pointed out that the ancient Egyptians believed that after death the weight of the heart is checked before allowing the soul to pass on. The weight has to be less than that of a feather to be allowed to pass on. The singer’s mother used to call her feather since she was a kid, and she hoped that she will be able to pass the test when her time comes.

The pyramids can be seen in the background of the photos Perry shared. She also got a chance to climb on to one of pyramids to pose for the cameras.

After this trip, a tabloid published a story in which it claimed that Perry told Bloom that she wants to get married there. The actor supposedly agreed and said that nothing could be more romantic than that.

The tabloid story pointed out that Perry previously married Russell Brand in India. With the singer’s interest in getting married in exotic places, Egypt emerged as a good location, according to the rumor.

Is Perry going to marry Bloom in Egypt? According to Gossip Cop she is not. A spokesperson of the singer has confirmed to the media outlet that there is no truth to the story about their marriage in Egypt, and the trip o the country was just a vacation.

Perry celebrated her 35th birthday in Egypt, which is something that even Bloom confirmed in his Instagram post. The couple did enjoy the vacation, with the actor saying that the trip to the pyramids felt like he was looking at the “entire cosmos,” but there won’t a wedding there.
