Niantic and The Pokémon Company have released the first screenshots of the coming mobile title, "Pokémon Go." The first official images come just days after an alleged video showing Niantic CEO, John Hanke, displaying the game at SXSW.

There are four new official screenshots that show us a bit more of the game. In one screenshot we see a Squirtle in the real world and below the Pokémon is a poke ball for players to capture it. We also see a bigger map which shows what Pokémon are nearby and where to catch them. Check out the images below:

Furthermore, new gameplay details were revealed. According to the Pokémon website, players will progress through the title by increasing their trainer level. By upping your level it will enable you to capture more, rare and powerful Pokémon. A higher trainer level will also allow access to much more items.

Poke Balls and other items will be available at PokeStops, which are stores located at public places such as art installations, historical sites and monuments. Players will also find Pokémon eggs at these PokeStops, which will hatch after the player "walk a certain distance."

Evolving Pokémon is a bit different than in classic Nintendo titles. NintendoLife reports, that if you catch a certain Pokémon enough times you'll be given the opportunity to evolve it to its next stage. Players will also be able to challenge rival gyms, join a team and participate in various challenges to unlock achievement medals.

These new details paint a very clear picture of what gamers should expect from "Pokémon Go," and we must say we are impressed.

What do you think about the title so far? Do you like the mobile title "Pokémon Go?"
