Santa, baby! Or should we say, Ezra? Season 5 of “Pretty Little Liars” is going to be a completely new venture for fans of the mystery series, and not just because Alison is back in Rosewood. “Pretty Little Liars” is finally doing a Christmas special, and we have all the yuletide details! Fans of the series have come to love the PLL Halloween episodes, which are considered to be some of the best amongst the episodes of the season, they contain a bunch of reveals, and who doesn’t love a creepy crawling scare around Halloween time?
Now after four seasons of scares, fans will finally be treated to some season’s greetings with an exclusive Christmas special. Marlene King revealed the big news on Twitter, which is where the cryptic series creator likes to provide fans small spoiler tid-bits. On Oct. 28, a fan tweeted King writing, "Someday I really, really want a Pretty Little Liars Christmas episode it would be the cutest thing ever please @imarleneking make it happen!" It seems the mystery and fun of PLL is something that comes natural to King who coyly responded, "Season 5."
The excitement of the Christmas special does come with a bit of sacrifice. It will take the place of the tradition Halloween special. “I’m so excited,” she told TV Line. “I’ve been trying to make a Christmas episode for four years, so I’m thrilled.” Even though I love the idea of the holidays-Liars style, it will be sad to wave goodbye to girls decked out in their over the top themed costumes, but apparently fans will be gifted with something even better than a Halloween costume and it involves Ezra Fitz in his underwear.
That’s right, Marlene teased Ezra fans revealing, “I’m trying to find a way to get Ezra Fitz into Santa boxers. Ian said he’d actually wear them if I could make it happen.” Santa boxers? What lady can say no to that when they are in the holiday spirit? We are assuming the Santa boxers will be an attempted Christmas present for Aria. Fans already know that the recently exposed true crime novelist is desperate to regain the love and trust of his ex-girlfriend Aria. Ezra went so far to protect her that he literally took a bullet for her, delivered with love from “A.” Now it seems like by the middle of Season 5, Ezra will be stripping down to build back up his relationship with Aria, and a little help from Old Saint Nick makes it all the better.
