An Altoona man accused of stealing multiple lottery tickets from a Sheetz store in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania has been nabbed with 87 bags of fentanyl-laced heroin in his possession.

The suspect Clyde Blair, 42, reportedly entered a Bellewood store on Sept. 19 at around 6 a.m. and pocketed an entire roll of tickets from a case of scratch-off tickets. About half an hour later, Blair was seen at the Sheetz in Greenwood cashing in the stolen cards.

Blair had allegedly also stolen lottery tickets from the Bellewood store two days before the incident, on Sept. 17. CCTV footage obtained from in and around the store showed the suspect leaving in a red Dodge Grand Caravan following both incidents, WTAJ-TV reported.

When the officers tracked the vehicle's details, it was found to be owned by a different individual. However, the vehicle's owner identified Blair as the suspect and informed the officers that he had borrowed his car on several occasions.

Blair was subsequently taken into custody on Oct. 25. After law enforcement searched the suspect, he yielded four bundles of heroin laced with fentanyl from his pocket and in his possession. A few months before this, on May 18, Blair was arrested in Centre County by the Spring Township police while he was sleeping in his car with a syringe on his lap.

When police officers searched his vehicle following his arrest, they reportedly found empty glassine-style bags, 87 bags of heroin, various drug paraphernalia, cotton balls, and a pill holder containing eight blue pills believed to be Xanax.

After the detectives interrogated him, Blair admitted that he had stolen lottery tickets from the Bellewood Sheetz multiple times and used to cash in winning tickets at the Greenwood Sheetz to get money for drugs.

Blair is being held at the Blair County Prison on charges including theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail has been set at $30,000 and $15,000 for both incidents.
