Shakira releases tracklist new album Las Mujeres No lloran

MIAMI - Colombian superstar Shakira surprised her fans with the release of the tracklist of her 12th studio album, "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran," scheduled for release on March 22.

The album, an eclectic mix of 16 tracks, promises to launch her career to a new level and further cement her status as a global music icon.

Revealed by Shakira, the tracklist features a compelling blend of 8 new songs and a remix, along with 7 previously released hits that have already garnered a phenomenal 3.7 billion plays on Spotify. This diverse collection showcases collaborations with some of the music industry's biggest names, including Cardi B, Rauw Alejandro, Bizarrap, Grupo Frontera, and Tiësto.

"I haven't created this alone, but with all of you, and with my pack of she-wolves who have been there supporting me every step of the way," said Shakira when she announced the release date of the album. "Creating this album has been an alchemical process. Writing each song, I rebuilt myself. Singing them, my tears turned into diamonds, and my vulnerability into resilience."

Among the standout tracks are "Puntería," featuring Cardi B, "La Fuerte" with Bizarrap, "⁠(Entre Paréntesis)" with Grupo Frontera, and "Cohete" alongside Rauw Alejandro. The album also includes a special remix of "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53" by Tiësto, adding an electrifying dimension to Shakira's already versatile sound. "Tiempo Sin Verte," "Cómo Dónde y Cuándo," "Nassau," and "⁠Última" are the names of her solo songs.

The rest of the songs are her hits since "Monotonía" with Ozuna, which came out in October 2022.

The album also includes collaborations like "Te Felicito" with Rauw Alejandro, "Copa Vacía" with Manuel Turizo, and "Acróstico," featuring vocals from Milan Sasha Piqué, Shakira's children, and "TQG" with Karol G.

A novel strategy

Shakira's innovative approach extends beyond the music. In partnership with Spotify, she has launched a unique pre-release album experience for her fans. This platform offers a range of interactive features, including a pre-save option, release notifications, exclusive clips, merchandise, and more, all leading up to the album's release.

The excitement around the album was further fueled by Shakira sharing a voice note between her and Cardi B on her WhatsApp channel, confirming their collaboration. The channel also promises more exclusive content, giving fans a glimpse into the creative process behind the album.

Also, in an exciting first, Shakira is venturing into the world of vinyl. The album will be available in four distinct art editions, each paired with an exclusive colored vinyl variant: red, sapphire, emerald, and diamond. While the diamond edition will be widely available, the other variants are set for limited release at specific websites and locations.
