These days, fans normally associate Tom Holland, Christian Bale, Channing Tatum and Colin Farrell for playing their respective macho roles as Spider-Man, Batman, Duke in “G.I. Joe” and Bullseye in “Daredevil.” But what many people don’t know is that aside from playing cool action characters on the big screen, these actors worked their way to the top all the way from the dance floor.

Tom Holland

Holland made it big in the entertainment industry when he became the latest actor to play as the webbed superhero Spider-Man. As the web shooter, the actor shot to international fame after starring in five Marvel Cinematic Universe films in just three years — “Captain America: Civil War,” “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Avengers: Endgame” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”

But what many fans might not know is that Holland’s big break was on theater as a dancer. He took hip hop classes at a dance studio called Nifty Feet and was spotted by a talent scout when he was 10. It was for an audition for the West End production of Billy Elliot.

Christian Bale

Fans might remember Bale for playing as the superhero Batman in a number of films. He first played as the caped crusader in 2005’s “Batman Begins,” ”The Dark Knight” in 2008 and “The Dark Knight Rises” in 2012.

But not many know that Bale knows some fancy footwork, which he put to good use in “Newsies,” a 1992 Disney musical comedy drama. And here’s an even more surprising detail — Bale was the only boy in a ballet class back in Wales.

Channing Tatum

For those who love action movies, Tatum will always be remembered as that manly soldier Duke of the “G.I. Joe” film series. He plays the tough as nails character in both “G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra,” released in 2009, and “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” which was released in 2013.

However, Tatum was never shy about his beginnings at the Miami Male Encounters as a stripper. In fact, his movie “Magic Mike” is loosely based on his experience as a stripper in the club.

Colin Farrell

Farrell has played a lot of badass characters on the big screen, a type of role that perfectly suits his ruggedly handsome looks. For instance, he was the bad guy Bullseye in “Daredevil,” a CIA spy in “The Recruit” and a law enforcement officer in “S.W.A.T.,” to name a few.

But what many fans might not be aware of is that Farrell has a few dance moves up his sleeves. In fact, he used to be a teacher in line dancing back in Dublin, Ireland.
