President Donald Trump dismissed the possibility that his MAGA coalition will be fractured by the possibility that the U.S. enters the Israel-Iran war, saying "my supporters are for me."
"My supporters are America first. My supporters don't want to see Iran have a nuclear weapon," Trump added after being asked about the interview between right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson, who advocated against U.S. involvement, and Sen. Ted Cruz, who supported Trump.

"Tucker is a nice guy, he called and apologized on the other day. He said things were a bit too strong. And I appreciated that. Ted Cruz is a nice guy, he's been with me for a long time. The bottom line is: is it ok for Iran to nuclear weapon? If they believe that, then they should oppose me, but nobody thinks it's OK. I don't want to fight either, but if it's a situation between fighting and them having a nuclear weapon, you have to do what you have to do. Maybe we won't have to fight," Trump added.
Carlson is among the Trump loyalists who holds more isolationist views, opposing involvement in foreign conflicts. Others who got involved in the debate are Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and former White House official Steve Bannon.
On Tuesday, Rep. Taylor Greene slammed Republican-leaning outlets Fox News and New York Post, calling them "propaganda news" as she criticized support for potential U.S. involvement in the war.
Speaking to Matt Gaetz on OAN, Greene said the two publications are "known to be the neocon network news," referencing the concept used by some to describe those prone to have the U.S. actively involved in global conflicts.
"We have propaganda news on our side just as the left does. The American people have been brainwashed into believing that America has to engage in these foreign wars in order for us to survive and it's absolutely not true," Greene added.
Bannon, in turn, predicted on Wednesday that the vast majority of the MAGA movement will end up backing Trump if he decides to join Israel in the war.
Speaking to reporters at a Christian Science Monitor event, Bannon said that if "Trump decides there's not a diplomatic alternative," he will "come and walk people through it." After that, the "vast majority of the MAGA movement will say 'look, we trust your judgement, you walked us through this... maybe we hate it but we'll get on board."
