"The Voice" Season 7 Coaches
"The Voice" Season 7 coaches are Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton. NBC/Trae Patton

The Voice Season 7 is only one week away! The popular NBC singing competition show will return Monday, Sept. 22 with new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. The newcomers will join the favorite pair Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Taylor Swift will mentor across all four coaching teams as Chris Martin did last season. The coaches have selected their individual mentors. Adam brought on Stevie Nicks, Blake tapped Little Big Town, Pharrell will work with Alicia Keys and Gwen will get help from her husband Gavin Rossdale.

The show will kick off with the blind auditions as the coaches seek to fill their teams based on the sound of a person’s voice alone. The show, in its seventh season, has been criticized for not producing a star yet while mostly just boosting the careers of coaches. Cassadee Pope (Season 3 winner, Team Blake) and Danielle Bradbury (Season 4 winner, Team Blake) have been great success stories in the country realm due to Blake’s star power. Blake has won three “Voice” titles Cassadee, Danielle and Jermaine Paul (Season 1 winner). Adam has won three “Voice” titles as well, including Javier Colon (Season 2 winner), Tessanne Chin (Season 5 winner) and Josh Kaufman (Season 6 winner).

Season 7 looks as good as it gets in terms of chemistry between the coaches. Great ready for some great power plays, and hopefully we’ll see some twists in the competition rules. “The Voice” returns next Monday and Tuesday at 8/7 p.m. Watch the sneak peak clip below!
