Prince William is the second in line to succeed his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. All eyes are glued to the future king and his wife, Kate Middleton, as they are expected to change the world. Hopes are high for the eldest child of Princess Diana as he continues to live out the philanthropic life that his mother led.

The Duke of Cambridge continues to work for the Crown as part of the royal family, taking on more duties in order to prepare him for his future role. The latest efforts of William and Kate are geared toward spreading awareness on mental health, a topic close to Diana’s heart.

Their most recent initiative launched by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is a collaboration with The Football Association, of which William is the president. This initiative called “Heads Up – The FA For All” is a project that uses the increasingly popular sport football to “change the conversation around mental health.” This particular move made by the prince made fans everywhere believe that he will become an “excellent” king.

“Wonderful initiative,” said one fan. “Helping people talk about their feelings and speaking out on their mental health is the next step in making a difference.”

Other fans even laud the move as one that would make his mother, Princess Diana, proud. “Your mother would be so proud of the work you and your wife do, William,” congratulated a fan. “Keep up the fantastic work,” the fan continued.

Some even look to this initiative as a precursor for a bright future with him as king. “He will make an excellent King and Catherine will be an excellent Queen,” a fan excitedly said. “Future King interests in his nation well-being,” commented another fan. “We are blessed to have you and Kate.”

The future king still does what he can in order to honor his beloved mother, be it through his life’s work or simple actions of love. Earlier this month, the prince made an appearance on Princess Diana’s birthday memorial, chatting with the visitors and thanking them for all the love and support.
