The WWE has not spared itself from parting ways with established names in the wrestling scene, a reason why most have jumped over to All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Among the names who have made the jump include Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Adam Cole, Keith Lee, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe. Most followed the lead of Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho who cut ties with the WWE.

Aside from those names, there were also legendary wrestling icons such as Sting, Christian Cage and Paul Wight.

With a plethora of big wrestling names joining them, the AEW could reach a point where it would have a surplus of talent. Hence, the Tony Khan-led promotion may end up having to cut some of its little-known rising stars who may eventually find their way to the WWE.

The latest big name from that list is Cody Rhodes. He returns to the WWE after moving out in 2016.

The 36-year-old formally announced his return at WrestleMania 38 and is now in a storyline opposite Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Rhodes may not be the only AEW name making the jump.

Among those who appear to be either displaced or are having contract issues include Lance Archer, Joey Janela, Lio Rush and Brian Cage.

Archer may make the jump due to limited opportunities. At 44, he could consider a move to the WWE in what may be his last run.

The same holds for Cage. After losing the belt and being dropped from his faction, thanks have been tough for the wrestler although he could find a new purpose in joining the WWE.

As for Rush and Janela, their contract situation could push them to consider a move to the WWE. Their futures with AEW is unknown and Vince McMahon may consider adding them to inject new blood into WWE shows.
