There is a reason why adults and kids are advised not to put their heads out the window of a moving vehicle. But in the case of an 11-year-old girl named Tamanna, she had reason to. Unfortunately, that led to her shocking death, decapitated after the bus she was in brushed sides with a truck.

Tamanna had her head out of the window because she was dealing with nausea on Tuesday. The incident happened in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh as the 11-year-old was traveling with her parents on a bus headed to a wedding. Because of nausea, Tamanna had her head out of the bus to vomit.

But at that time, the bus turned on a small curve. It was also at that moment when a truck from the opposite side was coming near Roshia village on the Khandwa-Indore highway. Because of a blind spot on the road, the bus and the truck came too close to each other and collided. When the two vehicles brushed sides, Tamanna’s head was crushed. It decapitated off her head off the torso and the young girl died instantly.

After the incident, the driver of the truck escaped and remains at large. Police have filed a case against the driver who is facing culpable homicide as a result of the accident. A search is now underway to pin down the whereabouts of the driver whose identity remains unknown for now.

This comes not long after a bus driver was killed in a bus accident over in Dima Hasao. Per reports, roughly 31 security guard personnel were also injured because of the accident that happened somewhere between Ditkachara and Bandarkhal on Monday.

The bus was reportedly on its way to Hailakandi from Lakhimpur. However, the vehicle skidded off a dilapidated hilly road and fell into a deep gorge at about 1:30 p.m. that day. The driver, identified as Pappu Bhuyan died on the spot. He along with the injured passengers were taken to Harangajo PHC where they were given medical attention.
