A bus driver in China was caught on camera saving a woman attempting to jump off a bridge with her young son.

A shortened version of the video has now gone viral after it was uploaded on TikTok by @caroelynne. The shocking incident happened in Guangzhou, China, according to a Newsweek report.

In the surveillance footage taken from the bus, the woman can be seen walking alongside the non-pedestrian Pearl River Bridge with her young son.

The bus driver slows down the vehicle as it approached the mother and child.

As the door of the bus opens, the woman is seen picking up the child before placing her leg over the bridge barrier and attempting to jump down. The passengers in the bus can be heard screaming in shock.

The bus driver, later identified as Zhang Zhide, instinctively rises from his seat and rushes towards the mother and child and holds the woman, attempting to drag her away from the barrier.

A passenger then gets out of the bus and takes away the boy into the vehicle. Zhide and another man then manage to bring the woman onto the bus.

According to local reports, the mother and son were taken to the police station wherein the boy was picked up by a relative.

"When I think of it now, I'm quite scared because the guardrail is very short. If I arrive later or if I don't have enough strength, the consequences would be unimaginable," Zhide stated.

The video, timestamped at 5:16 p.m. on Oct. 21 was posted by @caroelynne on Oct. 27. At the time of this writing, the video had garnered over 4.5 million views.

In another viral video, a man was seen fighting a giant anaconda to save his pet dog from its deadly clutches.

The man, identified as Carlinhos was with his pet dog, a pooch named 'Lion' in the Nova Alianca neighborhood near the Brazilian state of Sao Paolo when the giant reptile attacked the pooch as it drank water from a puddle.

Carlinhos is seen grabbing a stick and repeatedly striking the serpent on its head. He then grabs a spade and strikes the serpent again until it released the dog.

The giant reptile's deadly clutches had left the poor dog unconscious.

Carlinhos gave him a cardiac massage for almost 40 minutes until he eventually opened his eyes and began breathing.

"I thought I'd lost my dog, but thank God he's here," he added.
