Celebrities are often subjected to public scrutiny, often at the expense of their personal lives — not to forget, fan obsession often escalates to a whole new level, leaving stars in an awkward spot. American singer and songwriter Gwen Stefani experienced something similar as she took upon a rather interesting challenge — to answer the world wide web’s most searched questions about her!

The first question directed at Stefani was a little too basic but interesting nevertheless: what her real name was. “Gwen Renee Stefani,” she said. “It’s pronounced as Gwen. Not Gwaain like how Blake says it. But, you can say Gween if you want,” she added.

Moving on, more than the question that awaited the singer, it was her responses that were eyebrow raising — her first few jobs. “I was a swim instructor/ lifeguard at a pool,” she said. “My second job was at Dairy Queen. When I started there, I fit in my uniform perfectly. When I ended there, I did not fit in my outfit.”

While Stefani had a barrage of amusing questions coming her way, there was a certain sense of candor in her responses. Stefani was clearly in the mood to connect with her fans.

From calling her personal style a “hot mess” to actually urging fans to text her, Stefani did it all on this tell-all video. “There are no rules,” she said. “Whatever makes you happy and what makes other people around you comfortable is what I like to do,” she said.

She also addressed how she got discovered in showbiz. “Jimmy Lovine from Interscope Recording was the one who discovered me. ‘In six years from now you’ll be a star,’ and I was wondering “Who are you? I don’t know what you’re talking about?” she recalled.

Stefani’s on-stage hairdo has been much talked about and is also very complicated. While the singer suggested fans to ask her hairdresser instead, she also had something interesting to say. “It’s just something I’ve always done,” she said. “For me, it’s all about being comfortable on stage while performing. So, that’s how the ponytail came about,” she added.

It wasn’t too long until the questions got more personal. From whether she had a twin to whether she loved Blake to whether she was Pink, Stefani had a ball answering them!

“No, I don’t have a twin sister, she replied. “I have a sister. And, my sister is really smart,” she added. And well, a user has an interesting concern — whether she is Madonna’s sister. Well, she wishes!

Coming to the question “Was Gwen Stephani Pink?” she burst into laughter as she answered the question. “Whaat? That’s so funny!” she said. “I’m not Pink. But I love Pink.” she said. And for those wondering if she has tattoos, well she absolutely doesn’t have any. It’s clearly not her thing.

But while the artist doesn’t have too many regrets, she did harbor resentment for not learning how to play an instrument or learn more languages. And on being asked about her status with the American country singer, Stefani was quick to say that she loves Blake Shelton.

Last but not the least, it was one of her final questions that took the cake. “Is Gwen Stefani alive?” asked a Google user. “Thank god, yes I am,” she replied. “I’m so grateful to be alive!”
